I almost don’t want to let y'all know how great my stay was because I don’t want it to be booked up the next time I’m in LA… that’s how good it was! Felt like my home for a week. Rooms are a decent size, well decorated, comfortable. Rooftop pool is a vibe, the drinks are bites are delicious. The location is perfect! Super central. Busy in a good way.

FAQs about hotels in Los Angeles

City of Angels

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.

Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.

And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

What Guests Said About Los Angeles:

  • Review score

    Pros:

Pros: • Griffith Observatory - beautiful views of the city and Hollywood sign • Venice - nice beach scene and canals. Great options for Italian food. • Santa Monica - a part of town that is as cool as people make it seem. • Movie set tours - Warner Bros tour and Universal Studios are amazing. • Lots of museums and attractions in the city: Getty Museum, California Science center, Hollywood Walk of Fame (although this one is just something you cross off your bucket list…it’s not that spectacular). Cons: • Do not take the metro…get a car or uber. • It’s an expensive city. • Everything is quite spread out so it’s hard to get a lot of things into one day. You have to really plan things out.

It is a kind of city everyone should go once in life, although nowadays there are too many people living on streets and it is too dark at night. Take the subway at night and the bus during the day. Griffin Observatory is a must see.

Los Angeles offers a vibrant mix of culture, food, and entertainment. I especially enjoyed visiting Griffith Observatory for the stunning city views and exploring the Getty Center for its incredible art and architecture. I ate at Grand Central Market, which had an amazing variety of local and international cuisine—definitely try Eggslut or Tacos Tumbras a Tomas. Getting around L.A. can be tricky without a car, but ride-shares and the metro system make it manageable. For solo travellers, I recommend walking tours in downtown, visiting museums, and enjoying some quiet time at the Santa Monica beach—it’s easy to meet people and feel safe while exploring alone.

    We loved Los Angeles.

We loved Los Angeles. There are many interesting places at Hollywood and Beverly hills area, as well as the coast. There very nice beaches in Santa Monica such as Mahattan and Venice. If we have to picked one, we loved Manhattan beach, great environmental :)

    You're definitely gonna spend money.

You're definitely gonna spend money. Otherwise there wont be much to do. Also there are NO public restrooms. Even if you are a paying customer somewhere. I spent $30 on coffee and churro somewhere and was told there was no restroom I could use after I told her it was urgent. She told me to go to a Panda Express down and accross the street. Do the touristy things. Griffth was super cool. Crowded, but cool. We stayed here for a concert and the Greek Theater was a nice experience. Overall, I was a super big fan of Venice Beach.

We visited LA 10 years ago and boy what a difference that time has made. The gap between those with money and those without is huge. The streets were kind of dirty and Hollywood Walk of Fame was just covered with cheap stalls and people trying to push things onto you to buy. The stalls were literally covering up some of the stars! The one thing we did do, given that we had done the touristy stuff 10 years ago was catch an Uber up to the Hollywood sign as far as we could go and then walked all the way down the hill into town. We had a little hike on a trail and then through the winding streets. It was an unexpected but really fun experience.

Convenience and Accessibility: The excellent location ensured that you could easily access significant attractions and amenities. Being close to Beverly Hills and LAX means you have the best of both worlds: the glamour and excitement of the city and the convenience of airport access. Scenic Views: The balcony view provided a unique and picturesque perspective of Hollywood and downtown, allowing you to enjoy the scenic beauty and iconic landmarks from the comfort of your accommodation.

Nice hotel in a central location near the Grove. The accommodations meets the standards you would except for a hotel at this cost. Friendly staff and happy to keep our bags on day of check out. There is a pool and lounge chairs to relax in the common area. There is also a valet service at the hotel. Would definitely stay again when back in LA and looking to be close to the Grove, Melrose Ave, West Hollywood and the Beverly Centre.
