Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town.

Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town. It is quiet, at least in February when we visited. The sea lions and otters are fun to watch and listen to. There are lots of restaurants and bars to chose from for going out. We loved the wine and beer choices at The Savory Palette. There is live music but not on the night we were there.

Small town, quaint relaxing beach town. Most buildings are dated but alot of renovations going on. Tons of antique shops to visit in town some pricey. Great selections of food and restaurants both on wharf and in town.

Small quaint town that is good for families and couples to enjoy the variety of food, drink and shops, with the bay and wildlife to keep you entertained. Businesses are welcoming and friendly, ready to meet your every need as you relax and take in peaceful surroundings. We were surprised by the small town.

We were surprised by the small town. Great places to eat and buy souvenirs, but best of all was seeing the otters and their cubs up close. We loved it! There were also some harbor seals on the platforms. Guaranteed fun for animal lovers. We also took a walk to Morro Rock and watched the sandbanks and the waves breaking on the rocks. It was great! We had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe. We had lunch at Tognazzinis, dinner at The House of Juju and beer at Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing Company.

    Morro Rock is incredible!

Morro Rock is incredible! Be sure you leave enough time to walk around the wharf and the rock area. There were so many restaurant options that it was difficult to choose one as we were only in Morro Bay one night.

    Off season visit.

Off season visit. Several of our favorite shops & coffee spots were closed on Tuesday or Wednesday. Popular dinner restaurants were open and awesome as usual. Great November weather. Everybody seems to want to bring their dogs into the public spaces. We didn't like that.

Clean room and grounds. The ocean view room had a spectacular view of the rock and sunset (worth the extra $) Very friendly helpful staff. The room was not over furnished. Plenty of space to move around in and place gear. Location is great for walking the old town area of Morro Bay and walking to the rock. Lots of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, park and other interesting places within walking distance. We parked our car and did not get back in it for 4 days. A true vacation!

The location on the Embarcadero was front and center. You can walk everywhere you want to go in Morro Bay. Parking was easy. Rooms were luxuriously appointed and clean. The upstairs outdoors lounge had a fabulous view and was shielded from the wind. We really enjoyed sitting up there and drinking our wine and eating the cheese from the butcher/deli up the hill. This is not the cheapest hotel in Morro Bay, but if you’re looking to have a little splurge, this is a good value.

Very lovely privately owned hotel close to the water front. You are in the middle of all the shops and restaurants in Morro Bay. The hotel is very clean and has everything you need. The check in staff are always extremely friendly. You get a free bottle of wine and some chocolates to enjoy your stay even more. This is in my opinion one of the very best hotels in San Luis Obispo County and I have come back a few times.

Morro Bay is so small even though this hotel is a little further out it is extremely walkable. You dont need to rely on a car to see things or eat. You have a nice view of the rock without hearing the sea lions all night. It is a great location in an older hotel with good views of the rock.
